Kaizer Chiefs youngster Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya takes inspiration and advice from Amakhosi legends in his first year at the club.
The 21-year-old has unexpectedly found himself as Giovanni Solinas’ first-choice left back so far this season after the departure of club legend Tsepo Masilela, although Chiefs are in negotiations with Kenyan club Gor Mahia over the transfer of Ugandan defender Godfrey Walusimbi.

Masilela enjoyed a trophy-laden six-year spell at the Glamour Boys, as he played a pivotal role in winning two league titles and two domestic cups.
Ntiya-Ntiya revealed to Kaizer Chiefs’ official website that the senior players at Naturena have played a big role in helping him adapt to the challenges that accompany playing for a club of their size.
‘It’s a great feeling… The technical team and the players have all helped me settle. During the match, Bernard Parker, Daniel Cardoso and Willard Katsande talk to me quite a lot, continuously giving guidance,’ said the left back.

The young defender also revealed that he hopes to emulate his hero Masilela, who gave him inspiration in his last few months at the club.
‘Tsepo is my role model, he always told me to work hard and be positive. Sibusiso Khumalo also helped a lot,’ concluded Ntiya-Ntiya.
