Benni McCarthy has revealed that winger Surprise Ralani is ‘highly doubtful’ for Cape Town City’s MTN8 semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
The 30-year-old winger picked up a knee injury during the Citizens 0-0 draw with Golden Arrows last Saturday and was forced off the field in the second half.

McCarthy says he knew Ralani’s injury was serious when he halted play.
The 40-year-old coach also said that the winger’s availability for their top eight clash is yet to be determined.
‘For me those are the worst, when players stop by themselves. Then you know it is serious and my first impression is that it is a torn muscle,’ he added.
‘We will have to assess and see whether he is available, but I highly doubt that he will be.’
