Dan Malesela has confirmed he has been fired by Chippa United, after just three games into the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season.
Chippa got off to a poor start in the Absa Premiership as they lost both their opening games 1-0 to Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates respectively.

The Chilli Boys followed that up with a 2-2 draw against Black Leopards, but just 88 days after returning for a second stint at the club, Malesela was relieved of his duties.
The coach confirmed to SoccerLaduma on Wednesday he had received a letter from the clubs management on Tuesday night revealing that his contract has been terminated by the Port Elizabeth club, which has left him embarrassed.

‘My contract has been terminated. I got the letter last night. I haven’t spoken to him [ owner Chippa Mpengesi], but I think it’s all about patience. It’s embarrassing for me. I can’t suffer this humiliation,’ confirmed Malesela.
It has been reported that former Orlando Pirates and SuperSport coach Eric Tinkler is the front-runner to replace Malesela at Chippa.
The Chilli Boys are yet to make a statement on the coach’s departure.
