Caster Semenya is the star of the show in Nike’s new advert featuring her journey towards claiming gold.
In the 45-second advert posted on Monday, Semenya is heard asking: ‘Will it be easier for you if I wasn’t so fast? Will it be simpler if I stop winning? Would you be more comfortable if I was less proud?’
Nike has featured Semenya as part of its 30th anniversary of the ‘Just Do It’ slogan.
Semenya’s advert follows that of American footballer Colin Kaepernick; she joins the likes of tennis star Serena Williams and basketball legend LeBron James.
Semenya is back on track after challenging the IAAF’s new female classification rule.
