Giovanni Solinas handed Lebogang Manyama his Kaizer Chiefs debut over the weekend and the Italian only had one problem with the attackers’ performance.
The 28-year-old signed for the Soweto giants on 22 August. The move came after Manyama endured a difficult period with Atiker Konyaspor in Turkey which ended in under a year.

Manyama, who won the Absa Premiership Player of the Year while playing for Cape Town City prior to his European move, made his debut for Amakhosi last Saturday against his former team.
The forward impressed as he provided an assist as the Glamour Boys completed an empathic 4-1 victory over the Citizens for their first win of the season.
Speaking to the media after the game, Solinas admitted that while Manyama will provide his team with an extra threat going forward, he still needs to improve on his fitness in order to have the desired impact.

‘Lebo, it is the first game, the problem [with] Lebo is the fitness, he’s come to Kaizer Chiefs with no pre-season, we started the job with the fitness coach to get the fitness up.
‘Lebo is a top player for me, this is a player to score more goals. Yes, in my opinion, he is not 100% fit, but when Lebo’s fitness is top, Lebo is an unbelievable player that can help us score goals, this is our player for Bafana Bafana.
‘He is a top scorer when his fitness is okay, Khama is okay, Castro is okay, me, I enjoy,’ concluded the Italian on his potential front three moving forward.
