Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admits his side do not look ‘shiny and glossy’ without Percy Tau and Khama Billiat, but is satisfied with his new attack.

Following the departures of Tau and Billiat to Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion and PSL rivals Kaizer Chiefs respectively, Mosimane bolstered his squad when he acquired the services of Toni Silva, Lebohang Maboe and Phakamani Mahlambi.

The Brazilians have already netted seven goals from five games while conceding four and Mosimane says the new additions have already shown great promise in attack, but admits they have a long way to go if they are to fill the void left by the two forwards.

‘I am happy that the new boys are starting to score, it is promising. It is not as rosy as we want it to be but we still win. We have four goals out of the new boys,’ Mosimane told Phakaaathi.

‘It doesn’t look shiny and glossy like Percy Tau and Khama Billiat used to, but maybe on aggregate, they’ll score more goals, so sometimes we have to take what we have. They will get there, as long as they manage to score goals, we will be OK.’

Mamelodi Sundowns will take on an in-form Bloemfontein Celtic side when the two sides square off in their next Absa Premiership encounter on 3 October.
