Giovanni Solinas, who is facing the heat at Naturena after succumbing to defeat against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout semi-finals surprised many with his decision to select only one right-back.
The respective exclusions of Joseph Molangoane and Wiseman Meyiwa can be put down to the leg-break and car accident that the duo suffered, However, the same cannot be said of Jayiya, Paez and Moleko, with their exclusions seen as the beginning of the end of their Chiefs’ careers.
With that being said, it should be noted that the Glamour Boys have not elected to fill all the spots, which means that more players can be registered at a later stage in the tournament.
The two sides do duty at 7:30pm.
