Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane revealed to the media on Saturday afternoon, after his side beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 at the FNB Stadium, that the club was in ‘constant communication’ with the PSL regarding their Caf Champions League commitments.
Mosimane added that the PSL were trying their best to help out not only his club, but also Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, who are also competing in continental competitions.
With the Brazilians set to travel to Nigeria to face Lobi Stars on Friday 11 January in their first group stage match of the Caf Champions League campaign, the league have come to the club’s aid to allow them extra time to travel and prepare by postponing the clash against Polokwane City.
This postponement, however, will leave Sundowns with four catch-up games, with the rest of the league already having played 16 games, and round 17 fast approaching.
