Bafana Bafana attacker Thembinkosi Lorch is confident his side have enough experience within the squad to overcome Libya in their African Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
The South African national team remain the only unbeaten team in Group E, needing only a draw to secure their place at the 2019 Afcon in Egypt later this year.
Lorch is eager to convert his impressive performance for the Buccaneers to the national team in the hope of helping Bafana qualify for the continental tournament.
‘We have a tough task ahead of us this coming weekend, but the camp has started really well and we are all positive that we can come out of here with the result that will make Mzansi proud as a football nation,’ Lorch told Safa.net.
‘I have had a good run of late at club level, and have gained a lot of international experience through the Caf Champions League, and I now know the best and worst circumstances on the continent.
‘It is also very inspiring that the current Bafana Bafana squad has the experience needed to conquer this challenge.’
Bafana Bafana are set to take on Libya in their final Afcon qualifier group stage game in Sfax on Sunday, with kick-off set for 7pm.
