Watch as Premier Soccer League chairman Dr Irvin Khoza and the PSL prosecutor Nande Becker explain in detail the process that the league undergoes when charging clubs for infractions, after questions were raised around the timing of the charges facing Mamelodi Sundowns.
Last week the league announced that they were charging Mamelodi Sundowns for the use of defender Wayne Arendse when he was in fact not eligible to play in an Absa Premiership match last year.
This was in contravention of Article 16.3.3 of the league rules which clearly indicates that a team cannot make changes to the team sheet once it has been handed to the match commissioner.
The fact that the announcement was made just after Sundowns played against Orlando Pirates raised many questions among fans and sections of the media in respect of the timing as the Absa Premiership title race enters the business section.
