Orlando Pirates have confirmed that goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane will be out for the rest of the season as he continues to mend his way back to full fitness.
The Limpopo-born shot-stopper sustained an injury to his finger during a training session, and has since undergone a successful operation.
As a result, Mabokgwane is expected to be out for at least six weeks and will miss Pirates’ last two games of the season against Cape Town City and Polokwane City.
Mabokgwane will undergo reassessment on 6 May 2019 for the removal of stitches, and will then commence physiotherapy and occupational therapy according to the Buccaneers’ medical team.
Meanwhile, the club’s medical team also confirmed that Diamond Thopola and Kudakwashe Mahachi have been cleared and may return to full training.
