Pitso Mosimame is determined to see Mamelodi Sundowns dominate after successfully defending their Absa Premiership title.
The Brazilians have become a force to be reckoned with in the African continental competition after reaching the semi-final of the Caf Champions League this season before they were eliminated by Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
However, Mosimame has since stated that his aim for the club is to see them master football in Africa.
‘I know they [teams in Africa] respect us because we’ve been there all the time and we know,’ Mosimane told the media.
‘We’ve understood now the North African football, we understand it. My players understand and I do understand, but we need to master.
‘Understanding is something and mastering is something else. Wydad has mastered, Esperance has mastered.’
The former Bafana Bafana mentor went on to say that he would to sign the right players to help the club reach their objectives.
‘We are not convincing, that’s where we need to top it up a little bit. [We need to get] The right quality to do that,’ he added.
