Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that duo Ayanda Rorwana and Itumeleng Shopane has joined Maccabi FC (Moroka Swallows FC) on loan for the 2019-20 season.
Rorwana and Shopane, who has been training with Maccabi since last week, will complete in the GladAfrica Championship with Zeca Marques’ side.
The Soweto giants released the following statement on the departures of Rorwana and Shopane, which reads:
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the move of the duo of Ayanda Rorwana and Itumeleng Shopane to Maccabi FC (Moroka Swallows FC).
Rorwana (21) and Shopane (22) joined the National First Division side last week for training and will play for them in the new season.
Moroka Swallows have bought the status of Maccabi and are waiting for the PSL to process their name-change.
Rorwana was still in the Reserve Team playing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge while Shopane was promoted to the First Team.
The two youngsters are products of the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy and will enjoy the competitive football in the GladAfrica Championship (NFD league), which kicks off this coming weekend.
