Orlando Pirates midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu says his side are looking forward to rectifying their mistakes and try to convert their chances in their next game, after extending their winless streak to four games.

Pirates have found themselves in the middle of a storm after Milutin Sredojevic resigned a day before their MTN8 exit at the hands of Highlands Park, which was their third loss in a row.

They might have stopped the rot on Tuesday, but a 0-0 draw with AmaZulu extended their scoreless streak to four games.

Ndlovu, though, has had some joy in the midst of the chaos as he was handed his debut for the Buccaneers by caretaker coach Rulani Mokwena against Usuthu.

Speaking to Pirates media post-game, Ndlovu said he was happy with his debut but is focused on coming together with his teammates to steady the ship at Pirates.

‘I am happy I made my debut in Durban. To play and get the result we got is a good thing and it shows that we will bounce back and win a couple of games that are coming.

‘The game was difficult, but I think we could have wrapped it up in the first half,’ the former Maritzburg United midfielder added.

With Pirates having struggled in front of goal, Ndlovu believes his side is working hard to overcome their recent woes.

‘We are looking forward to rectifying our mistakes and try to convert our chances because we are creating a lot of chances,’ he said.

‘When things are not going well, we have to stick together and be united so that we can get results because it’s easy to point fingers at each other when things are not going right,’ he concluded.

The Sea Robbers are next in action against Zambian side Green Eagles on Saturday in an important Caf Champions League qualifier, when they will need to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit.
