Lyle Foster has joined Belgium club Cercle Brugge on loan for the 2019-20 season, Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco have confirmed.
The young striker left Orlando Pirates for the French outfit last year and was turning out for their reserve side at the back end of the 2018-19 season.
Foster then looked to break through in pre-season and featured in Monaco’s opening Ligue 1 games, which included a full debut in the loss to Olympique Lyon on the opening weekend.

However, the club have brought in a number of forward options after a poor start to the season, with Wissam Ben Yedder and Islam Slimani signing for the club.
The forward thus would have his first-team game time cut by the high-profile arrivals and has gone on loan in search of playing time.
Foster will now be up against Percy Tau in the Belgium top flight, with the Bafana star playing for Foster’s new club’s cross-town rivals Club Brugge, while Darren Keet and Kurt Abraham are playing in the second tier in Belgium.
