Zambian striker Lazarous Kambole has vowed to deliver the goods for Kaizer Chiefs following his slow start in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Kambole joined Amakhosi from Zambian giants ZESCO United on a three-year contract after performing for club and country.

The 25-year-old is yet to find the back of the net for the Glamour Boys since arriving from Zambia during the off-season.

Speaking on his four-game goal drought, Kambole said: ‘Football is like that.’

‘Of course, scoring is one of my attributes‚ so I’m actually working on that but I am not frustrated. The pressure is making me push even harder at training.

‘It’s very important [for me to score my first goal] because I just want to give the supporters something to smile about.’

Kaizer Chiefs will return to action when they welcome Polokwane City to the FNB Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Saturday, with kick-off set for 6pm.
