Downs, however, came up against a hard-working and well-organised Highlands team determined to upset the defending Absa Premiership champions.

Pitso Mosimane’s team threw everything they had at Owen Da Gama’s men, but couldn’t break through until substitute Affonso popped up in the 91st minute to snatch the three points.
