Watch as Orlando Pirates coach Rhulani Mokwena and Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp clash in a heated exchanged following Chiefs’ 3-2 win over Pirates in Saturday’s Soweto derby.

Amakhosi started the game in the best possible fashion as they were 2-0 up inside the opening 30 minutes following an opening minute own goal and Leonardo Castro header with 28 minutes gone.

Pirates then fought back as Vincent Pule pulled one back before half time and then Gabhadinho Mhango netted the equaliser with 30 minutes to play.

It was all Mokwena’s men at this stage but with eight minutes left to play Chiefs were awarded a penalty when Bernard Parker went down in the Pirates box and the referee pointed to the spot.

Daniel Cardoso stepped up and calmly converted the spot kick to fire Chiefs back ahead.

Emotions the boiled over in the final stages as a tussle broke out between the two players which eventually saw Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho sent off.

After the game Mokwena was enraged by what he called thuggish behaviour by the Glamour Boys, adding that the penalty was a dive from Parker and that more Chiefs’ players should have been sent off.

Middendorp though defended his players in the press conference and looked to not back down while still remaining calm.
