Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed that Sundra Govinder has resigned from his post as head of youth development.

Govinder joined Amakhosi as a youth development coach back in 2016 before he was promoted to the position of head of development in 2018.

During his three-year stint with the Glamour Boys, Govinder helped unearth several talented players like Happy Mashiane, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Siyabonga Ngezana, Njabulo Blom, who are now part of the first team.

However, Amakhosi are yet to confirm Govinder’s replacement following the resignation of their long-serving members.

Kaizer Chiefs released the following statement on Sundra Govinder’s resignation, which reads:

Sundra Govinder has resigned from his post as Head of Development at the Club. He joined Kaizer Chiefs as Youth Development coach in 2016 and in 2018 he became Head of Development.

During his term of office, Sundra worked with Chiefs’ Under 13, 15, 17 and 19 squads.

Govinder will vacate his position at the end of November 2019.
