Cape Town City left back Edmilson Dove has joined the call to fight the coronavirus pandemic by urging the public to do their bit during the 21-day national lockdown.
The 25-year-old is self-isolated at home as the country is in lockdown, which aims to decrease the number of people infected by Covid-19.
With all football suspended in the country, Edmilson has urged football fans to safeguard themselves from the pandemic sweeping the world.
‘I just wanted to send you a message to stay strong,’ Edmilson told the official Cosafa website.
‘I hope that you are obeying the government’s recommendations.
‘I hope you are all well in this turbulent moment that has affected the world. We’ve been going through some very hard times. I do believe it is a matter of time until everything goes back to normal again.’
