Former Orlando Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi wants his former club to secure the services of Maritzburg United duo Richard Ofori and Rushine De Reuck.

The goalkeeper and centre back have been two of the outstanding players in a Maritzburg side which have impressed many this season under Eric Tinkler.

With Pirates having fallen just short of ending their trophy drought over the last two seasons, Lekgwathi believes that Pirates chairman Dr Irivin Khoza should make the Team of Choice pair his top transfer targets.

‘First the goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, I like the guy you know. Sometimes I wish I was still playing alongside him. He’s one of the players I need at Orlando Pirates,’ the Pirates great told KickOff.com.

‘As much as the chairman has assembled a good squad, I would also like him to add Rushine De Reuck. I watched him in the Telkom Knockout and I would give him player of that tournament.

‘He really did magic in there and has been consistent in the league, too. I remember against Kaizer Chiefs at Mbombela giving Samir Nurkovic a hard time, and I said that boy, if I was a coach, I would’ve signed him. And I so wish Pirates can get him.’
