With the supposed sale of Bidvest Wits currently up in the air, the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are circling for a feeding frenzy which could turn the league upside down.

The reported sale of the Braamfontein-based club has dominated the headlines in recent weeks and now, with the club possibly about to come to an end, a number of players will be searching for new homes.

According to reports, Sundowns have stolen a march on their competitors by submitting a R17-million bid for Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto and Haashim Domingo.

However, Pirates, long-time admirers of the Bafana Bafana captain, are also reportedly in the race for Tyson as well as combative midfielder Hotto. The duo look to be the most in demand with Kaizer Chiefs also interested, but any bid from the Glamour Boys is solely dependent on their appeal against their one-year transfer ban.

Thabang Monare, who has been linked to Chiefs for several windows, also looks to be on the move with both Downs and Chiefs interested.

Wits are reportedly also trying to ease their financial burden by releasing some of their highest earners, including Elias Pelembe and Sifiso Hlanti, with the Bucanneers also believed to be interested in the Bafana Bafana left back.

With a number of the league’s top players at the 2016-17 champions now seemingly up for grabs, the big three look likely to come out on top at the fire sale.
