South African striker Zaid Patel has completed his transfer to Spanish outfit CD Almunecar City ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The 26-year-old striker joins the club from GladAfrica Championship side TS Galaxy and is currently Orlando Pirates esports team member.
Zaid came through the ranks at Bidvest Vits before successful senior spells with Chippa United, AmaZulu FC, Stellebosch FC, Witbank Spurs and most recently TS Galaxy.

Almunecar have since released the following statement announcing the signing of the lanky striker, which reads:
‘CD Almuñecar City are delighted to announce the signing of South African forward Zaid Patel for the 2020/21 season. The 26-year-old striker joins the club from South African National First Division side TS Galaxy.’
Speaking to the club’s official website, CD Almuñecar coach George Jermy said: ‘On behalf of everybody at the club, we’re really happy to welcome Zaid to CD Almuñecar City for the 2020/21 season. He’s a strong and powerful striker who has a natural eye for goal – we think he’s perfectly suited to European football and we can’t wait to see how he fits in. Zaid visited the club in December last year and we were all impressed with his professionalism approach and attitude towards the game.’
