Cape Town City chairperson John Comitis says he has no intention of selling any players especially Bafana Bafana international Kermit Erasmus.
The 29-year-old is currently the Citizens top scorer this season, having bagged 10 goals and two assists from 20 appearances across all competitions, with City sitting in 10th place in the Absa Premiership standings with 27 points from 23 games played.
The 2019-20 Absa Premiership season was called to a halt as a safety message to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
However, Comitis has revealed that he is not interested in selling any of his players, while also urging the squad to step up their game once the season resumes.
“No, there’s nothing on him (Kermit). There’s nothing happening. No one is going anywhere. There are no discussions of any players going anywhere at this stage. We are keeping our best players so that we can compete,” Comitis told Independent Media.
“As long as I have 11 players that could win things, then I’m happy. Luxury players that are expensive and who are not performing, we will see what we are going to do with them. At the end of the day, the time has come for everyone to step up.”
