Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has underlined what veteran midfielder George Maluleka will bring to the Brazilians.
The 31-year-old made the switch from Kaizer Chiefs to the Brazilians after signing a pre-contract with the nine-time Absa Premiership champions.
Maluleka comes with a wealth of experience having spent six-years at Amakhosi, winning the MTN8 trophy and Absa Premiership title, while making 297 appearances across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and assisted a further 37 over the course of his career.
The former SuperSport United midfielder is currently with the Brazilians in Rustenburg, where the team is preparing for the return of the 2019-20 season following the coronavirus-enforced hiatus.
‘He [George Maluleka] is a good boy, a good player, intelligent, intrinsic also. We have already spoken about tactics and we have put him through the process of how our No 6 and 8 plays,’ Mosimane told his club’s official website.
‘He comes with a lot of set-piece delivery skill, he can score, can shoot from outside the box and is willing to learn which is good and we wish him all the best,’ he added.
