Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Banyana Banyana star Rhoda Mulaudzi has signed a deal with FC Dinamo Minsk in Belarus.

The South African player has joined FC Dinamo Minsk from the Sundowns ladies team after signing a six-month contract.

Mulaudzi is no stranger to playing abroad as she has played for the likes of Canberra United in Australia and Apollon FC Lemesos in Cyprus.

The Banyana striker is also joined by Lebohang Ramalepe, who signed for the Belarus outfit at the same time as Mulaudzi.

Mulaudzi was part of the inaugural Safa National Women’s League where she bagged a Championship medal and became the league’s top-goalscorer with thirty-six goals in sixteen matches.

‘I have just joined FC Dinamo Minsk. I was supposed to have made the move in March but due to the national lockdown, I could not travel. It is something I have been looking forward to as I had a great season with Mamelodi Sundowns ladies side in the Safa National Women’s League,’ Mulaudzi told the official Sundowns website.

‘I believe hard work pays and I must acknowledge that we had a great season and I ended up as the league’s top-goalscorer and that is something that motivated me and gave me confidence that I can make it in any competitive league. I want to thank president Dr Patrice Motsepe, my coach, Jerry Tshabalala, my teammates with whom without I could not have achieved my goal tally and also the fans who were there for us all the time.

‘I want to share a special message to my former teammates and to say that they must just keep working hard, anything is possible in football. The love and care we had for one another are next to none, stay together as a team and keep fighting,’ concluded Mulaudzi.
