Two Super Overs were required to separate the Kings XI Punjab and the Mumbai Indians in an enthralling IPL clash on Sunday.
As if one tie wasn’t intense enough, the first Super Over also finished all square before Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal got the KXIP over the line in Dubai.

Batting first, Mumbai were hoping to continue their dominance at the top of the table as Quinton de Kock brought up yet another half century before Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard provided late cameos to guide their team to 176-6 in 20 overs.
Star batsman KL Rahul once again provided fireworks with the bat en route to his own half century with Agarwal, Gayle and Nicholas Pooran all contributing handy knocks.
Needing two runs off the final delivery, Chris Jordan was run out by Pollard as the KXIP made it to 176-6 in their innings.

In the first Super Over both teams only managed five runs, which meant the lineups continued to fight it out in another six-ball innings to each.
Pollard and Pandya managed to help Mumbai to 11 runs in their second stint at the crease but Gayle struck a massive six off Trent Boult’s bowling to swing the tide in KXIP’s favour.
Agarwal finished things off with consecutive boundaries as the KXIP got over the line with two balls to spare.
The victory helped KXIP up to sixth in the table, while Mumbai missed out on an opportunity to move above Delhi Capitals once again at the summit of the standings.
