Glenn Maxwell struck 70 off just 31 deliveries and Ashton Agar claimed 6-30 as Australia cruised to comfortable 64-run victory over New Zealand in the third T20I in Wellington on Wednesday.
Requiring nothing but a victory to remain in the five-match series, Australia posted a mammoth 208-4 in their 20 overs with captain Aaron Finch also adding 69 at the top of the order.
In reply, the Black Caps were undone by the brilliance of Agar, who spun the Aussies into a commanding position.
Martin Guptill top-scored with 43 as New Zealand were dismissed for only 144 in the 18th over. The hosts will take a 2-1 series lead into the fourth match on Friday.
