Al Ahly have revealed that Bafana Bafana international Percy Tau has returned to full training as he continues to mend his way back to full fitness.
The 27-year-old recently moved to Ahly from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion during the transfer window.
However, he has not yet made his long-waited debut for the Red Eagles after sustaining a chronic injury.
Ahly have since been boosted by Tau’s return to full training this past Sunday and he could be fully fit once the Fifa international break concludes.
The Red Eagles released the following statement:
“Percy Tau, Al Ahly’s attacking midfielder, participated in part of the team’s full training sessions, as part of his recovery program.
“Ahmed Abu Abla, head of Al Ahly’s medical staff, explained that Tau will gradually participate in today’s session after recovering from his injury.
“The Red Eagles returned back to training on Sunday after having a 3-day rest to prepare for our upcoming encounter against Niger’s AS Garde Nationale in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.”
