Cape Town and Paarl will host the majority of the matches during India’s tour to South Africa over December and January.
India will play South Africa in three Tests, three ODIs and four T20Is.
The winner of the Test series will be awarded the Freedom Trophy, which is dedicated to two global icons, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. It was first awarded in 2015.
In a key schedule change to the tour schedule, the New Year’s Test has been moved from the Wanderers in Johannesburg to Newlands in Cape Town.
“CSA is excited to welcome India back to South Africa, which also significantly marks the 30th anniversary of South Africa’s first tour to India after re-entry into international cricket in 1991. This tour affirms our unique relationship with the BCCI,” said CSA director of cricket Graeme Smith.
