Mamelodi Sundowns suffered their first defeat this season at the hands of AmaZulu, while Orland Pirates came from behind to secure a narrow victory over Marumo Gallants in the DStv Premiership on Monday.

Mamelodi Sundowns 25-game unbeaten run came to an end after they suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of AmaZulu at the Kings Park Stadium in Durban through a goal by super sub Augustine Mulenga.

As a result, Sundowns remain at the top of the league standings with 43 points from 18 games, while Usuthu moved up to third place on the table, level on 27 points with second placd Pirates after 18 matches.

A brace by Kwame Peprah saw Orlando Pirates came back to claim a 2-1 victory over Marumo Gallants in the DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium on Monday evening.

The win saw the Buccaneers move up to second place in the league standings with 27 points after 18 games, while Gallants are placed 11th with 18 points after 17 matches played thus far.
