AmaZulu’s Luvoyu Memela and Mamelodi Sundowns’ Brian Onyango have been named in the Caf Champions League Team of the Week for match-day two.

Memela played a crucial role in helping Usuthu secure their first win in the group stages after he bagged the winner during their narrow 1-0 victory over Horoya AS at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this past weekend.

The victory moved AmaZulu up to second place in Group B and level on three points with third-placed ES Sétif and three behind leader Raja Casablanca on six points after two matches.

Meanwhile, Onyango helped the Brazilians keep their second consecutive clean sheet after they played out to a goalless draw with Al Merrikh at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo last weekend.

Despite the draw, Sundowns remain at the summit of the Group A standings with four points from two games, three points ahead of Al Ahly, Al Hilal and Al-Merrikh, who all have one point each.

AmaZulu will next welcome ES Sétif to the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday, while Sundowns travel to the Cairo International Stadium for their mouthwatering fixture against Al Ahly on Saturday.
