Watch as Banyana Banyana beat 11-time champions Nigeria 2-1 in their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations opener on Monday.
After a tight and cautious first half, the game sparked into life in the second half as the South Africans took the lead through Seoposenwe, who provided a composed finish after being picked out in the box.
Then, just a couple of minutes later, it was 2-0 as Thembi Kgatlana set up Hildah Magaia whose first-time finish into the far corner left the keeper with no chance.
Rasheedat Ajibade managed to pull one back for the Nigerians in added time with a close-range strike into the bottom corner, but it proved to be a consolation as Banyana secured the win.
