Uruguayan international striker Luis Suarez has signed a two-year contract with Brazilian club Gremio, the club announced on Saturday.
The 35-year-old player went back to his old team, Nacional, last summer and helped them win the Uruguayan league title by scoring eight goals in 14 games.
Suarez played in the World Cup in Qatar, but his team was knocked out in the group stage.
“HE’S AT GREMIO! One of the greatest in the history of Uruguay, Luis Suarez arrives to continue his victorious journey, this time wearing our jersey!” Gremio posted on Twitter.
“Scorer, multi-titled, warrior! Welcome, Luisito!”

With Barcelona, he won La Liga four times and the Champions League in 2015. In 2021, he won the La Liga title again with Atletico.
