Erling Haaland ended his goal drought as Manchester City came back to secure a thrilling 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday evening.

Spurs took a shock 2-0 lead into the half time break through two quickfire goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal just before the break.

Julian Alvarez managed to pull a goal back in the 51st minute before Haaland drew the game level two minutes later to score his first goal in four matches.

Riyad Mahrez then put the game beyond Spurs when he scored in the 63rd minute as well as in stoppage time as City walked away with all three points and a much needed win after two straight defeats.

The win sees Man City close the gap on log leaders Arsenal to just five points, having collected 42 points from 18 matches, while Spurs remain in fifth place on the table with 33 points from 20 matches played in the Premier League.
