AmaZulu coach Pablo Franco Martin believes he can do a better job at Usuthu than he did at Simba FC and “fight for titles”.
The 43-year-old coach recently joined Usuthu after putting pen to paper on a contract that will see him remain at the club for the next 36 months.
The former Real Madrid assistant coach is expected to land in the country on Thursday as the club awaits his arrival ahead of the preseason and the 2023-24 season.
Franco Martin admits he is no stranger to the DStv Premiership and has followed the league for the past few year while having experience playing Orlando Pirates during his time at Simba FC.
“I already have experience playing against Orlando Pirates in the Caf competitions,” Franco Martin told his club’s official website.
“At that time you could see that level in a team from Tanzania, even if it is a big team like Simba and Pirates.
“We were however capable of competing against them. And if I could do it with Simba being inferior, I am sure I can do better with AmaZulu and fight for titles.”
