Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal has announced the signing of Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio on a three-year deal.

Milinkovic-Savic is the third major signing for Al Hilal in the last month, following Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly from Wolves and Chelsea respectively. Al Hilal are the four-time Asian champions.

Al Hilal announced on Twitter that the 28-year-old will join his new team at their preseason training camp in Austria after passing medical tests.

Milinkovic-Savic, who was born in Spain, began his career with Vojvodina before spending a season with the Belgian club Genk. He scored 69 goals in 341 appearances for the Rome-based club after joining Lazio in 2015.

Claudio Lotito, the owner of Lazio, revealed on Monday that the player had requested “a change of scenery” after eight years in Italy.

Milinkovic-Savic won the 2019 Italian Cup and represented Serbia at the previous two World Cups.
