Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro says his side will work on rectifying their mistake as they prepare to face Cape Town Spurs at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday.
The Buccaneers extended their winless run in the DStv Premiership to three matches following their 1-1 draw against Polokwane City after Given Mashikinya cancelled out Patrick Maswanganyi’s 39th-minute opener.
The draw sees Pirates occupy 13th place with nine points after seven games, while Polokwane sits in fifth place on the log with 15 points from 10 matches.
Riveiro says he is not concerned with dropping points but his main concern is to rectify the mistakes they made in their previous match.
“No, I am concerned with the points I can not be concerned with; points is something abstract, it’s a figure, I can not be concerned with a point,” Riveiro told SuperSport TV.
“But I can be concerned with some things that we are not doing well and that we need to correct during the week. We are not finding the goal as easy or the three points as we would like and that’s a handicap obviously in a game like football.
“I am busy with the problems that we have, I am not concerned. To make sure that game after game we get new problems but not old problems.
“If we continue to get old problems then it means we are doing something wrong. So that’s the thing, I am busy trying to help my players to win games and score more goals.”
