Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba insisted that his side will go all out when they face Gambia in the penultinate AFCON qualifiers at the Independence Stadium.
The first match between the two side’s ended in a goalless draw at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in June last year.
Mashaba says that while people have spoken and exhausted the subject of South Africa’s permutation in the group which also consists of leaders Cameroon and Mauritania, they would go for a win and leave the rest to fate.
‘We want to finish our campaign with a flourish and we will definitely go all out for a win in this encounter. Yes, we made it difficult for ourselves in the first two matches against Gambia and Mauritania but we are going for a win, come Saturday,’ Mashaba told reports Safa.net.
The 65-year-old coach went on to say that Bafana Bafana have no time to rest, there main objective is to win their remaining two matches.
‘Yes, we will blood in any of the prospects in any given situation but winning is our primary concern,’ he added.
Bafana Bafana sit third on the table with three points after four matches, while Cameroon top the group with eight points, one more than second-placed Mauritania while Gambia has two points.
Kick-off has been set for 19:00 on Saturday.
