The 27-year-old was part of the Glamour Boys side that finished fifth on the Absa Premiership table after winning the league and MTN8 in the previous campaign,’ reports KickOff.
Lebese believes that this season Amkhosi failed to making an impact after losing two cup final against Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns.
‘It’s always difficult when you have won the league and you are the hunted ones. But I think we didn’t show up as much this season,’ Lebese said.
The Bafana Bafana winger said that Chiefs are now on the hunt to bounce back from their trophies season.
‘We obviously know our mistakes, we just need to come out stronger and now we are the hunting one. Like when we didn’t win the league, we were hunting and won it. So I think now it is a good time to reflect on what went wrong,’ the winger added.
This season Lebese has scored a total of eight goal while picking up four assists from 32 appearances in all competitions.
