Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson was a frustrating figure after stating his disappointment in his team’s performance against Royal AM.
The Glamour Boys were forced to share the spoils after playing out to a goalless draw at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday.
The draw sees Amakhosi remain in fifth position on the log with 25 points after 17 games, while Royal AM sits in 14th place with 19 points from 16 matches.
Johnson was not pleased with his side’s performance and bemoans their missed chances which could have potentially seen them walk away with maximum points.
“I don’t know what I need to say,” Johnson told SuperSport TV after the game.
“Yes, we missed very big chances. I think we missed four one-on-ones, Ashley [Du Preez] had four times one-on-ones, he should have scored the goal. We didn’t get it.
“But did we play well today? No, I don’t think so. I am not happy with my performance as our team, I think our team is a lot better than what we showed today.
“Yes, their goalkeeper gets man of the match, ja, it tells you a lot, but as a tactician, as a guy who sits on the bench, and watching his team play, and watching what his team went through at training sessions, and how they can play, and how they can be more confident on the ball, ja, we didn’t see a lot of that.
“We didn’t see enough of that, in order for us to, yes we missed the chances, but we should have really, really won the game.”
