Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson is hoping his side can secure their first win this year when they take on Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership on Tuesday evening.
The Glamour Boys are set to welcome Abafana Bes’thende to the FNB Stadium when the two sides square off in their next league match.
Amakhosi come into this fixture off the back of a goalless draw against Moroka Swallows, while Arrows conceded a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United in their previous fixture.
The Soweto giant are currently placed sixth on the log with 26 points after 18 games, while Arrows are sitting in 10th place on the table with 23 points from 18 matches.
Johnson wants his side to become more clinical in the final third as they look for their first win in 2024, with their last victory coming in December.
“We need to be more clinical in the last third of the game. I think we did do that [threaten in the final third] in two patches of the game,” Johnson told SuperSport TV after the game.
“We again didn’t concede, which is a big plus. But it’s not good enough coming after a loss. Now we need to pick ourselves up. It’s two days before the next game against Golden Arrows.
“We are going to come out again to get the three points against Arrows.”
