Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro was left frustrated after his side’s stalemate against Cape Town Spurs in the DStv Premiership.
The Buccaneers were forced to share the spoils with the Urban Warriors after playing out to a 1-1 draw at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.
The result saw Pirates remain in fifth place with 30 points after 18 games, while Spurs remain at the bottom of the table with 11 points from 19 matches.
Riveiro was not happy with his side’s performance and admits it was their “worst game ever”.
“A terrible one, one of our worst games ever,” Riveiro told SuperSport TV after the game.
“Difficult to swallow, difficult to understand. Difficult in the beginning to manipulate the spaces but we managed to find two, three times the proper spaces to be in advantage.
“But then we just stop, we were not aggressive in the pressing, we just allow them to run comfortable in transition when they have the opportunity.
“We didn’t apply in the loss in their own half. In the second half, I don’t know we were just waiting for the goal to start to attack again.
“We were really passive, not taking any risk from the first line in the pressing as well, they found the spaces anytime they wanted.
“Difficult to explain, a really bad game from our side. It’s time to be critic and for sure do it better the next time.”
