Siphelele Mthembu was aware of Kaizer Chiefs decision to put the forward on the transfer list before the announcement was made public, according to Miguel Paiva.

The 28-year-old forward spent two seasons at Platinum Stars before Amakhosi signed him on a free transfer and is now once again looking for a new club after being listed for sale by the Naturena club.
A move that Mthembu knew about before the confirmation to the public earlier in the week.
According to the founder of Luso Africa Player Management, Miguel Paiva, Mthembu’s agent knew in advance about Amakhosi’s decicision to put the forward on the transfer market.
The South African Football Players Union (Safpu) confirmed that they will challenge Amakhosi’s decision to release 20 players from the club for not following proper procedures.
Paiva revealed that he is working on finding Mthembu a new club but insisted that any team interested in the player will to do it through Chiefs.
‘Yes, this was communicated to us by the club. We are currently working on a few options for Siphelele, but obviously teams that are interested in him will have to go via Chiefs as he’s still contracted to them and only put them on the transfer list,’ Paiva told Goal.
Paiva believes that the Glamour Boys will not expect Mthembu to leave the club for a high transfer fee should any club want to sign him.
‘I don’t think the transfer fee will be a stumbling block should any team show interest in him,’ he added.
Mthembu made a total of 42 appearances and has only scoring two goal in the black and gold jersey during his two year spell with the Glamour Boys.
