Amad Diallo scored an extra-time winner as Manchester United defeated bitter rivals Liverpool 4-3 in a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford to reach the semi-final of the FA Cup.

The Ivorian winger got a second yellow card for celebrating by taking off his shirt. This happened at the end of a crazy 120 minutes that kept United’s hopes of winning a trophy at the end of the season alive.

Erik ten Hag’s team had to make late comebacks twice to get to the final four.

Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah scored two goals in three minutes near the end of the first half to turn the game in Liverpool’s favour. Scott McTominay had scored the first goal.

United was still in the game after Antony scored his first goal at Old Trafford in more than a year. The game went into extra time.

It was Liverpool who went ahead again when Harvey Elliott’s shot hit the bottom corner after being blocked.

In extra time, Marcus Rashford missed a great chance to win the game, but he made up for it by drilling home to tie the game 3-3.

In extra time, Diallo scored his second goal ever for United. It came at the end of a fast counterattack from a Liverpool corner, led by the very good Alejandro Garnacho.
