Stellenbosch FC forward Devin Titus says scoring goals is not his main objective, despite his recent run of form in the final third.
The 22-year-old is currently in a rich vein of form and has managed to score 10 goals and registered three assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
The Stellies forward played a crucial role in the club’s unbeaten run this season, and as things stand, they are on a 20 match unbeaten run across all competitions.
Titus, who scored six times in his last 10 outings, is relishing the chance to help Stellies add another piece of silverware to their collection this season.
“Scoring goals is not my main objective,” Titus told his club’s official website.
“The main objective for me is to win games for the team, whether I score or assist or not, as long the team wins.
“I am young but age is just a number and winning is my mentality. Without winning I don’t think I would be the person I am. That comes with hard work and without hard work, I can’t be Devin Titus, and without winning I can’t be Devin Titus.
“…I want to help the club win more trophies, and with the Carling Knockout already in our bag, hopefully the Nedbank Cup is next.”
