Zimbabwe coach Jairos Tapera felt his side made it difficult for themselves following their defeat against Bafana Bafana in their FIFA World Cup Group C qualifier.

The Warriors fell to their second defeat in their FIFA World Cup Group C qualifier following a 3-1 loss to South Africa at the Free State Stadium on Tuesday.

Iqraam Rayners opened the scoring for Bafana Bafana in the first minute before Tawanda Chirewa levelled matters a minute later but it was substitute Thapelo Morena, who put the game to bed after scoring a brace to hand South Africa the win.

Zimbabwe now finds themselves sitting at the bottom of the Group C standings with two points from two matches, having drawn two and conceded two defeats.

Tapera says they will learn from their defeat and come back stronger when they take on Benin in their next Group C qualifier in March.

“They are making our lives very difficult in terms of defending, you can imagine the first minute through the central defender he makes a mistake Rayners scored and we immediately equaliser, we stabilise everything,” Tapera told SABC Sport after the game.

“We thought as we are stabilising everything we were doing very well, we thought maybe we might get the second goal but again a lapse of mind in the second goal.

“They are not the marking type in the box and they punish us. Third goal through the middle again we are punished but I think in terms of play they are playing well but this eluded the understanding.

“I think we need to go back, sit down, organise ourselves and make sure we improve going forward.

“We are not worried about how many matches we have left but we are worried about the next match we going to play, we just need to prepare very well and play.

“I think personally we’ve got a team that if we organise ourselves, we’ll come back
