Orlando Pirates have confirmed that midfielder Miguel Timm has penned a new deal with the Buccaneers.
The 32-year-old’s contract was set to expire at the end of this month but Pirates have since extended his stay at the club for another season, with the option for an additional season.
Timm has been a crucial piece of the pirates squad and has been ever-present in the team, having made 30 appearances across all competitions during the 2023-24 season.
The defensive midfielder also played a vital role in helping the Buccaneers secure back-to-back MTN8 titles as well as the Nedbank Cup.
The Durban-born midfielder will now remain at the club for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Orlando Pirates have since released the following statement on the matter, which reads:
Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that Miguel Timm has signed a new deal. The 32-year-old midfielder’s current contract was due to expire at the end of the month, but he has now put pen to paper to extend his stay at the club, keeping him on board the Bucs ship for the 2024/25 campaign, including an option for an additional season.
Since his arrival in 2022, Timm has established himself as a key cog of the Pirates team and he has gone on to register 63 matches – winning four cups.
