Orlando Pirates captain Innocent Maela says they will not underestimate SuperSport United when the two sides meet in the quarter-finals of the MTN8.
The reigning champions will kickstart their title defence when they welcome Matsatsantsa to the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
It has been confirmed that the winner of this competition is set to walk away with a grand prize of R10 million compared to last year when the Buccaneers walked away with R8 million.
The 31-year-old has revealed that his side are ready to do battle against SuperSport as they look to successfully defend their title.
“We are looking forward to starting the season on a positive note,” Maela told his club’s official website.
“We are well aware of the challenge that lies ahead of us this weekend. SuperSport United are a very tough side.
“Matches against them are never easy and we cannot, and will not underestimate them.”
Orlando Pirates against SuperSport United kicks off at 6pm on Saturday evening.
