Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that Ivorian winger Anicet Oura has joined Qatar outfit Muaither SC on loan until the end of the season.

The Ivorian international joined the club from ASEC Mimosas on 1 August 2023 and went on to score eight goals and registered a two assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.

The 24-year-old becomes the eighth player to level the club behind Iqraam Rayners, Deano Van Rooyen, Antonio Van Wyk, Qobolwakhe Sibande, Mervin Boji, Nhlanhla Mgaga and Salifu Colley.

Oura has a wealth of experience, having made 75 appearances in all competitions, while scoring 14 goals and grabbing five assists playing for the likes of Africa Sports, Lori Vanadzor, FC Masis, ASEC Mimosas and Stellies

The Cape Winelands side have released the following statement on his departure, which reads:

Stellenbosch Football Club can confirm that Ivorian international Anicet Oura has joined Qatari side Muaither SC on a season-long loan.

Oura joined Stellenbosch FC at the start of last season and scored eight goals in 35 appearances across all competitions, helping the team win the 2023 Carling Knockout competition.

We wish to thank Anicet for his professionalism and commitment during his time in Stellenbosch and look forward to following his progress as he embarks on a new journey in Qatar.
